Dr. Martens Adrian Tassel Loafer
The Dr. Martens Adrian Tassel Loafer is a versatile and budget-friendly shoe that works well for both casual and slightly formal outfits. It has a timeless design and good quality, making it a great option for anyone wanting to upgrade their style with a classic piece.
Solovair Tassel Loafer
Handmade in England, NPS Shoes (Solovair manufacturers) have been making shoes for over 140 years, so quality is guaranteed on this one. Fun fact: NPS initially produced Solovair shoes and boots under license and they were sold under the name “Dr. Martens by Solovair” for 35 years.
G.H. Bass Weejuns Loafer
G.H. Bass Weejuns loafers have a rich history as the original penny loafer, dating back to 1936. Known for its timeless design, these classic loafers effortlessly transition from casual to formal occasions, making them a versatile wardrobe staple for both men and women.
Fred Perry Black Fringed Loafer
Fred Perry is a British heritage brand recognized for its iconic laurel wreath logo and timeless sportswear pieces that effortlessly blend classic style with modern trends.
While the brand may not be explicitly known for their loafers; aesthetically, this pair is a perfect option for more casual and semi-casual outfits and features a chunky rubber sole for a modern look (and some extra height for the short kings out there).
Sebago Dan Lug Loafer
The Sebago Dan loafers offer a timeless yet modern style with their classic penny-keeper detail and durable leather construction. Perfect for completing both casual and dressed-up looks, these loafers are a versatile and stylish choice for any fashion-forward individual.
ADIEU Black Type 159 Loafer
ADIEU is a French brand primarily focused on footwear founded by Benjamin Caron and Isabelle Guédon in 2012.
Before putting this list together, I’d never heard of the brand but stumbled upon these and thought they looked cool. This pair is another modern reinterpretation of the classic loafer, with a chunky rubber sole making it great for casual looks but features a glossy finish giving it a more sophisticated look.
Duke + Dexter Wilde Black + White Rattan Penny Loafer
Handmade in England with a premium leather lining sourced from Italy, this pair from Duke + Dexter is a high-quality option for casual wear. This pair in particular features a crotchet detail vamp inspired by woven rattan furniture giving it more of a summer vibe and some added character.
TOGA VIRILIS Loafer
TOGA is a Japanese brand based in Tokyo founded in 1997 by designer Yasuko Furato. The brand produces menswear under the name “TOGA VIRILIS” and womenswear under “TOGA PULLA”.
These loafers feature a glossy finish with metal hardware on the heel and vamp for an elevated look. A great option for special occasions and my personal favorite on the list.
